Can I avoid a dark band through the centre of Alpine White Granite?

The selected material features white crystalline areas contrasted with irregular dark mineral bands. Allocate the countertop outline before approving the slab. Trimming one edge may reposition a dark band without providing enough usable material for the remaining pieces.

What should a finish sample show in the dark bands between white crystals?

Include both the crystalline areas and their surrounding mineral material. View the dry face under side lighting and compare the finished edge. Any resin-filled areas should be visible in the approval sample; a glossy photograph can conceal differences that become apparent on a matte surface.

What should be checked when an opening crosses the dark bands between white crystals?

Review the actual crystalline zones, mineral boundaries and any repairs before finalising the opening. Their decorative appearance does not establish structural soundness. The fabricator should confirm the edge finish and support of the remaining sections; the clearest-looking area is not automatically the best place for a narrow rail.

Can the dark bands between white crystals be positioned deliberately in custom pieces?

We can prepare a layout using the selected slabs and project drawings. Mark which areas should remain visible and include all openings and returns. More selective positioning may reduce usable yield, so approve the proposed composition before committing to a particular slab allocation.

Does Alpine White Granite need stain protection around cooking and sink areas?

Base the decision on the selected slab's liquid uptake and any existing treatment, not solely on the dark bands between white crystals. A suitable impregnator may help where needed, but no blanket stain-proof result should be promised. Compare a treated offcut with the approved dry colour before applying it to the complete countertop.
