How should the black-white waves in Kenya Black Marble run through adjoining surfaces?

The selected material features black, white and grey wood-like waves with occasional greenish nuances. Approve the broad movement on a complete layout. A rotated return can interrupt the wood-like rhythm even if its individual piece looks attractive.

Will a matte finish keep the same contrast in the black-white wood-like waves?

Not necessarily. Compare the actual stone in the proposed sheen before approving colour: a dark polished field may read lighter when honed, changing the contrast of its markings. Handle and wipe the sample under the room lighting so surface residue is assessed as well as the initial appearance.

What changes should I expect if Kenya Black Marble is used on a kitchen or bar top?

Acidic spills can leave dull etch marks on the identified carbonate surface, including areas around the black-white wood-like waves. The markings do not need to disappear for a change in sheen to become visible. Choose this marble or limestone when that maintenance expectation is acceptable; ordinary penetrating sealing does not prevent acid etching.
