Onyx Bamboo Quartzite

Onyx Bamboo Quartzite is a quartzite from Brazil. It is a similar material to Taj Mahal quartzite but more colorful.

Transparent crystal background with burgundy veins like tree roots. Milky white veins, faintly along the burgundy veins.

Also, there are many tiny burgundy veins, seemingly chaotic; in fact, the regular distribution on the surface.

Two Types of Onyx Bamboo Quartzite

From these two pictures of Onyx Bamboo Quartzite, they looks much different. But actually, the different of these two is just the veins.

The dark color has more red veins, so it looks like full of red color, colorful and unique.

The light color has fewer red veins; we can see the crystal background clearly, so it looks more transparent.

Where Can Be Used?

1. We have big quantity of 2cm big slabs in stock for your selection; all are book match polished.
Size: 2000-3100mm*1200-2000mm*18mm. Customized sizes and finishes are welcome.
It can be honed, leathered, flamed, sandblasted, brushed, and so on.

2. Except for big slabs, we have good experience with projects too.
Onyx Bamboo Quartzite is a natural quartzite, harder and performs better. Very popular for kitchen tops and vanity tops. Also very good for backgrounds, stairs, and flooring.

Is Onyx Bamboo Quartzite calcitic onyx or a quartzite selection?

The selected material features pale crystalline areas traversed by warm brown-red, root-like veins. Resolve the supplied material before assigning acid resistance or backlighting behaviour. Its root-like brown-red lines are a visual characteristic, not a mineral identification.

What should a finish sample show in the brown-red root-like veins?

Include both the crystalline areas and their surrounding mineral material. View the dry face under side lighting and compare the finished edge. Any resin-filled areas should be visible in the approval sample; a glossy photograph can conceal differences that become apparent on a matte surface.

What should be checked when an opening crosses the brown-red root-like veins?

Review the actual crystalline zones, mineral boundaries and any repairs before finalising the opening. Their decorative appearance does not establish structural soundness. The fabricator should confirm the edge finish and support of the remaining sections; the clearest-looking area is not automatically the best place for a narrow rail.

Can the brown-red root-like veins be positioned deliberately in custom pieces?

We can prepare a layout using the selected slabs and project drawings. Mark which areas should remain visible and include all openings and returns. More selective positioning may reduce usable yield, so approve the proposed composition before committing to a particular slab allocation.

What needs confirming before Onyx Bamboo Quartzite becomes a working countertop?

Identify the actual supplied material rather than assigning properties to the brown-red root-like veins. Obtain evidence appropriate to everyday spills, soundness and any surface treatment. For a demanding brief, representative contrasting areas deserve assessment; a decorative trade name is not itself a performance specification.
