Where should the dark patches sit on a Mona Lisa Granite countertop?

The selected material features a cream-white ground with conspicuous dark mineral patches and larger crystalline areas. Keep the most distinctive patch within a visible stone area. Placing it beneath a basin opening can leave the finished top much quieter than the selected slab.

What should a finish sample show in the dark patches and larger crystals?

Include both the crystalline areas and their surrounding mineral material. View the dry face under side lighting and compare the finished edge. Any resin-filled areas should be visible in the approval sample; a glossy photograph can conceal differences that become apparent on a matte surface.

What should be checked when an opening crosses the dark patches and larger crystals?

Review the actual crystalline zones, mineral boundaries and any repairs before finalising the opening. Their decorative appearance does not establish structural soundness. The fabricator should confirm the edge finish and support of the remaining sections; the clearest-looking area is not automatically the best place for a narrow rail.

Does Mona Lisa Granite need stain protection around cooking and sink areas?

Base the decision on the selected slab's liquid uptake and any existing treatment, not solely on the dark patches and larger crystals. A suitable impregnator may help where needed, but no blanket stain-proof result should be promised. Compare a treated offcut with the approved dry colour before applying it to the complete countertop.
