Can the dark feather markings in Everest White Granite be kept evenly distributed?

The selected material features a white ground with grey and dark feather-like mineral markings. Compare their size and concentration within each finished outline. A quiet white corner is not a representative standard for a feather-rich countertop section.

Would polishing or honing better preserve the dark feather markings?

Compare both on the selected white or pale material. Polishing adds reflection; honing gives a lower-gloss presentation that may change the apparent contrast of fine markings. Approve a dry face-and-edge sample so the chosen finish works on the detailed piece, not only on a large display slab.

How should the dark feather markings look on a finished edge?

Approve an edge sample from the selected lot rather than comparing only flat colour chips. Check for chips, missing grains and inconsistent polishing at mineral changes. The exposed edge should relate to the face, although a narrow edge naturally shows a smaller portion of the grain pattern.

How can the dark feather markings be kept balanced across repeated pieces?

Review actual cut-size outlines or a dry layout of finished pieces, not just an average colour sample. Keep the size and concentration of the most conspicuous mineral areas within the agreed range. A visually acceptable slab can still yield pieces with quite different pattern coverage.

Does Everest White Granite need stain protection around cooking and sink areas?

Base the decision on the selected slab's liquid uptake and any existing treatment, not solely on the dark feather markings. A suitable impregnator may help where needed, but no blanket stain-proof result should be promised. Compare a treated offcut with the approved dry colour before applying it to the complete countertop.
