The selected material features brown mineral areas with contrasting blue reflective details. Its blue effect comes from reflective details within brown mineral areas. Approve their visibility in the intended installed direction, not just in a flash photograph.

How will polishing or honing affect the blue reflections in brown minerals?

Compare the proposed finishes on a piece containing the reflective detail, not just the background. Check it from the normal viewing direction in the installed plane. Lower gloss and a different surface texture can change the visible effect; neither the colour name nor a flash photograph defines the finished result.

How should the blue reflections in brown minerals look on a finished edge?

Approve an edge sample from the selected lot rather than comparing only flat colour chips. Check for chips, missing grains and inconsistent polishing at mineral changes. The exposed edge should relate to the face, although a narrow edge naturally shows a smaller portion of the grain pattern.

Can adjacent pieces show the blue reflections in brown minerals with equal intensity?

Matching the material is only the starting point. View the proposed pieces together in their installed planes and mark the approved orientation before cutting. A horizontal top and vertical panel may reflect differently even when they are adjacent cuts; show that difference in the layout approval.
